Are these safe to use given the production date?
Yes, when stored correctly. These tires have been kept indoors in a dry, covered warehouse since leaving military service — away from UV light, moisture, and ozone, which are the primary causes of rubber ageing. We recommend a visual inspection by a qualified tyre technician before mounting, as is standard practice for any stored tire.
What vehicles do 16.00R20 XZL tires fit?
This size is standard on heavy NATO military vehicles including the Mercedes-Benz Unimog U5000, MAN HX, DAF YA series, and comparable trucks. Also used on heavy mining and quarry equipment. Always verify fitment with your vehicle manufacturer before ordering.
